Thought I would mark #WorldAnimalDay2022 by sharing a first for me – an owl! ⁠

I am drawn to the serenty and beauty of black and white, and so when I began researching owls I was immediately drawn to the Snowy Owl – they are such mystical creatures and I knew immediately that I had to work with the species. ⁠

After becoming enchanted by these beautiful birds, I spent some time contemplating the best way to photograph them – I didn’t want the photograph to have any distractions as that would take away from the beauty of the owl, the background had to be simple.⁠

I photographed them a couple of times, and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome – it is everything I imagined and more
