The Last Light

2026

As the sun broke through the clouds, its final rays illuminated this  pony against an increasingly dramatic sky. The light caught her flowing mane, creating an almost ethereal quality.

Partially hidden behind her mane, one eye remained fixed on me. There was something incredibly powerful about that quiet stare — a moment of curiosity, strength and presence.

For me, the beauty of wildlife photography lies in these fleeting moments. The light, the atmosphere and the character of the animal all came together for just a few seconds, before the clouds closed in once again.
