Hand On Heart

Price range: £250.00 through £1,150.00

2025

This frame is a meditation on kinship, dignity, and unspoken truths. It reminds us of the silent threads that connect us across species, the quiet strength of vulnerability, and the power of stillness in a restless world. Here, in this singular moment, the gorilla does not roar, fight, or flee—it simply is, with hand on heart, a witness to its own existence.

I left the shoot with a real buzz – this is what it’s all about, capturing those rare, beautiful moments that speak to the heart.

The Watchful Guardian

Price range: £250.00 through £1,150.00

The primate series has touched me in so many ways – spending time in the company of so many incredible individuals has reminded me that these are not just beasts, but echoes of ourselves, with hands that cradle, eyes that remember, and hearts that break as ours do.

I wanted to capture a strong, emotional portrait of a gorilla – we share 98% of our DNA with these incredible creatures. They do not speak our language, yet say everything with a glance.
To catch that glance is the most humbling of experiences.

Cloaked In Stripes

Price range: £250.00 through £1,150.00

2025

My new primate series simply had to include a ring-tailed lemur or two – they are so iconic, and instantly recognisable.

When I plan a new photograph, I always begin with the key characteristics of the species in question – when a person thinks of the ring-tailed lemur, they instantly think of their stripy tails and large, emotional eyes. The eyes and the tail would therefore be the focal point of the photograph I was trying to create.

Their striking tails act as a vital tool to help them balance whilst moving through the heights of the Madagascan jungle, as a communication tool when operating in a troop of up to thirty individuals, and as a bit of a safety blanket when they need to keep warm, or rest.

I got low and waited for moment – I do this often in the field, because I like to shoot from a low angle; it is not comfortable, and often it can be a long job… but not when lemurs are involved. They are constantly up to something, it was an entertaining morning.

I love the emotion and the sense fragility in this photograph.

It’s Been A Long Day

Price range: £250.00 through £1,150.00

2021

I like the emotional side of the chimp and how similar they are to humans. That’s something I try to get in my work, because people never got to know me as a child, they just heard I had autism and ran a mile. I’m trying to do the same with animals, to get people to look deeper than just what they look like. Trying to get the emotional connection in my work is important.

Guardian of the Falls

Price range: £250.00 through £1,150.00

2025

The completion of the Wild Horse project has resulted in time to explore other species, and I have long wanted to explore the world of primates in more depth. They are incredible creatures with faces full of so much character, and so much intelligence. It’s a personal goal for this year, to explore these fascinating creatures in as much depth as possible.

I started the project in the Middle Atlas Mountains, home to the incredible Barbary Macaque, and North Africa’s highest waterfalls. These primates are found exclusively in the heights of Algeria, Tunisia and Morocco, and their numbers are decreasing – once strong populations are now fragmented, and they are considered endangered – to find them was a great privilege.

I had been dreaming of this shoot for sometime – my partner and my family knew of my dream to photograph a macaque in-front of the famous falls, but I knew it would be hit and miss. We completed a rigorous trek to reach the monkey’s habitat, and were lucky to find a small troop at the top, lead by this dominant alpha male.

Exhausted from the trek, I had a rest and bided my time – sure enough he moved into position and sat on the edge of the cliff. I had my opportunity.

It was my first big moment of 2025, and it was even more special having my partner by my side. It’s a moment in time that I will never forget.

I’ll Think About It

Price range: £250.00 through £1,150.00

2024

This photograph very much encompasses my signature style — I like to make the eyes front and centre of my work, and I often use strong, dark backgrounds to focus the eye.

I am an emotional person, and I think that shows in my work — photography has become my outlet for the challenges I face living with autism.

I like that the lemur in the background is looking at the lemur in the foreground, and he is then looking into the distance – it leaves questions unanswered – what are they contemplating? What’s in the distance?

Land Of The Lemurs (Black & White)

Price range: £250.00 through £1,150.00

2024

‘Land Of Lemurs’ is one of my favourite photographs that I’ve taken in 2024 thus far. It is a composition I have long dreamed of, I sketched out a similar composition three years ago and have been trying to capture it ever since.

When I found these three hanging out, I knew I probably had my chance if I waited long enough. The left and the right lemurs were the easy part, and the beautiful trees in the distance made for the perfect backdrop, I just had to wait a while for the central individual to move forward so as to create the distance I wanted between him and the two others.

Lemurs are very sociable and inquisitive, so he was very obliging when it came to looking into the camera — he means business, this is the land of lemurs.
