Highlander

Price range: £250.00 through £1,150.00

2025

With horns arched like crescent moons and a forelock tumbling over solemn eyes, this Highland cow stands as a sentinel of ancient hills. The wind plays in her shaggy coat, brushing through the copper strands as if seeking to unravel the stories woven into every curl. She gazes forward with the steady calm of a creature who has weathered all seasons and found no reason to flinch.

Behind her, the trees blur into a gentle tapestry, but she remains clear and unwavering, the beating heart of her landscape. Here stands the keeper of heather and wind, of mossy stones and twilight skies. In her presence, the world slows, remembering that sometimes true strength wears a fringe of tousled hair and looks back with a gaze as old as the trees themselves.

The Highland

Price range: £250.00 through £1,150.00

2025

I almost always focus on the eyes of my subject, but I think when it come’s to the Highland Cow, they are known for their shaggy crown of coarse hair and their horns that curve like crescent moons more than their eyes – to comb his fringe in an effort to reveal his eyes would not only be dangerous, it would remove that character that so many have come to love about the Highland Cow’s face.

They are creatures that do not seek your attention, but hold it effortlessly. Each coarse strand of fur tells a story of bitter winters survived and quiet summers grazed under endless skies. There is no polish here, no pretence—only muscle, fur, horn, and instinct.

Behind him, the trees blur in soft focus, distant and unimposing, while the beast, framed by a sky mottled with drifting clouds, commands every inch of my frame with quiet authority.

The Whispering Mare

Price range: £250.00 through £1,150.00

2025

I love making photographs like this, tight, full of emotion and that, I hope, make you feel something.Half-veiled in shadow, the horse gazed back at me with eyes that were steady, deep, and knowing—like it had seen more than it would ever tell.

Light filtered through the leaves above, painting soft patterns across its darkened face like whispers from the trees. Each dappled flicker seemed part of forests language —an unspoken bond between wild and watcher.

I was close, but there was no fear, no urgency—only presence. A solemn watcher, the horse does not need to speak; its silence is a language of patience, of resilience, of ancient wisdom passed down through hoofbeat and heartbeat alike.

Crowned By The Wild

Price range: £250.00 through £1,150.00

2025

In the still light of early day, he stood alone—bold, unmoved, and wrapped in the hush of wild breath. His antlers, velvet-cloaked and regal, rose like roots inverted toward the sky, ancient and sacred as the trees themselves.

Behind him, the dark hedge line hummed with the quiet rhythm of summer. The sun, low and kind, outlined every muscle, every thread of fur, with reverence. He did not pose, yet the earth seemed to pause around him.

He was not there to be tamed or named. He exists as he always has: silent, sovereign, and wild.

Hooves Of Morning

Price range: £250.00 through £1,150.00

2025

The light of dawn transforms the marshes of East Anglia into a glistening wonderland, the dew illuminated like tiny sparkles, as the mist rises to herald the start of another day.

I know this spot well, after shooting here for the Wild Horse book, but have never managed to capture the magic of the morning, until this magical May morning.

I got down low, bided my time, and out of the hush of morning mist, a beautiful horse bound towards me, hoofbeats softened by dew, and mane caught in the quiet wind of morning.

The Watchful Guardian

Price range: £250.00 through £1,150.00

2025

The primate series has touched me in so many ways – spending time in the company of so many incredible individuals has reminded me that these are not just beasts, but echoes of ourselves, with hands that cradle, eyes that remember, and hearts that break as ours do.

I wanted to capture a strong, emotional portrait of a gorilla – we share 98% of our DNA with these incredible creatures. They do not speak our language, yet say everything with a glance.
To catch that glance is the most humbling of experiences.

The Untamed

Price range: £250.00 through £1,150.00

2025

I have never struck luckier than on this Summers day – the sky was churning with layers of thick cloud, the sun broke through to illuminate everything it touched, and the wind whipped everything in it’s path.

I have always been drawn to piebald ponies – no two are the same, each one a living mosaic of defiance and grace, and they are the perfect subjects to own the frame in these dramatic conditions.

I spent an hour in their presence – they spent much of that time chasing each other under the clouds, hooves striking the earth in unison, their manes tangled in the same wild wind.

They eventually paused for breath, and that was my opportunity to capture all that they were about. In the motion of their manes is freedom; in their gaze, fire.

Ripples Of Elegance

Price range: £250.00 through £1,150.00

2025

I have spoken often about my diagnosis of autism, and how living in such a noisy world is a profound challenge at times – my photography has become somewhat of an escape from that challenge, and my black-and-white style serves as a peaceful escape from the noise that surrounds me.

I love the contrast between elegant whites and strong, deep blacks, and the swan is a perfect species for this style, the elegance of their white feathers is unrivalled, they are one Britain’s most beautiful creatures. I really wanted to play on that contrast when photographing them in early 2025.

I quickly noticed this thicket of trees on the opposite side of the lake –  I knew this would provide a beautiful, deep black background if I got down to water-level and bided my time. The resulting photograph is better than I could have ever imagined, it’s a very satisfying photograph for me, and a new favourite.

Amongst The Morning Mist

Price range: £250.00 through £1,150.00

2025

It has been about six years since I released a photograph of a swan – they are breathtakingly beautiful birds, but they can also be aggressive, and they are probably one of the most photographed birds. I admit that they are one of my favourite native species, and I always get excited when I spot one… it was about time I revisited them with my camera.

We were treated to some very favourable conditions earlier this year, the winter light was magical, and recent temperatures had meant it was likely there would be some level of mist if we got down to the waters edge early enough.

The photograph was in the bag before breakfast, it was a very early and chilly start, but we warmed up with some good company and some good coffee shortly after. Sometimes you have to seize moment.
