Clash of the Titans

Price range: £250.00 through £1,150.00

2025

In a quiet meadow veiled in morning sunlight, two mighty stags clash in a ritual as old as time. Their antlers, gnarled and crowned by nature, lock like ancient swords in a silent war of strength and spirit. Muscles coil, hooves dig into the soil, and eyes burn with the fire of instinct. There is no hatred here—only the longing to lead.

One will rise with the pride of victory; the other will yield with dignity.

The Highland Charge

Price range: £250.00 through £1,150.00

2025

The ground doesn’t shake — but it feels like it should. From the far edge of the field, a shape gathers speed, framed in dust and wind, he comes—cloaked in woollen armour, crowned in curved defiance. The Highland cow, half-shadow and half-legend, strides through the hush like a forgotten king.

You don’t watch him — you witness him. He’s not charging at me, but through something — through time, through instinct, through a world grown too quiet. The muscles ripple beneath that shaggy coat like wind across water. This is nature not tamed, but tolerated.

In the Presence of Kings

Price range: £250.00 through £1,150.00

2025

Head high, eyes distant, antlers curved like a crown shaped by wind and wisdom. Every line on his face tells of seasons passed: of snow-frosted fields and autumn battles, of rain-soaked paths and quiet triumphs. Around him, the world blurs, but he remains—sharp, strong, eternal.

Behind him, a rival lingers. Their stories are intertwined like roots beneath the soil, unspoken yet understood. The present and the future, rivals under autumn skies.

The Monarch

Price range: £250.00 through £1,150.00

2025

He stood unmoved, a statue born of breath and bone, his crown forged not of gold but of ancient growth. With antlers like branches reaching into the sky, he surveyed the world with a gaze as old as the earth itself.

There was no arrogance in his stare—only knowing. A quiet certainty that he belongs, not merely to the land, but as part of its heartbeat. His fur carried the scent of pine and last nights rain, his eyes the memory of storms and spring.

To behold him was not to witness an animal, but to meet the soul of the wild—alert, enduring, unyielding. A privilege.

Highlander

Price range: £250.00 through £1,150.00

2025

With horns arched like crescent moons and a forelock tumbling over solemn eyes, this Highland cow stands as a sentinel of ancient hills. The wind plays in her shaggy coat, brushing through the copper strands as if seeking to unravel the stories woven into every curl. She gazes forward with the steady calm of a creature who has weathered all seasons and found no reason to flinch.

Behind her, the trees blur into a gentle tapestry, but she remains clear and unwavering, the beating heart of her landscape. Here stands the keeper of heather and wind, of mossy stones and twilight skies. In her presence, the world slows, remembering that sometimes true strength wears a fringe of tousled hair and looks back with a gaze as old as the trees themselves.

The Highland

Price range: £250.00 through £1,150.00

2025

I almost always focus on the eyes of my subject, but I think when it come’s to the Highland Cow, they are known for their shaggy crown of coarse hair and their horns that curve like crescent moons more than their eyes – to comb his fringe in an effort to reveal his eyes would not only be dangerous, it would remove that character that so many have come to love about the Highland Cow’s face.

They are creatures that do not seek your attention, but hold it effortlessly. Each coarse strand of fur tells a story of bitter winters survived and quiet summers grazed under endless skies. There is no polish here, no pretence—only muscle, fur, horn, and instinct.

Behind him, the trees blur in soft focus, distant and unimposing, while the beast, framed by a sky mottled with drifting clouds, commands every inch of my frame with quiet authority.

The Whispering Mare

Price range: £250.00 through £1,150.00

2025

I love making photographs like this, tight, full of emotion and that, I hope, make you feel something.Half-veiled in shadow, the horse gazed back at me with eyes that were steady, deep, and knowing—like it had seen more than it would ever tell.

Light filtered through the leaves above, painting soft patterns across its darkened face like whispers from the trees. Each dappled flicker seemed part of forests language —an unspoken bond between wild and watcher.

I was close, but there was no fear, no urgency—only presence. A solemn watcher, the horse does not need to speak; its silence is a language of patience, of resilience, of ancient wisdom passed down through hoofbeat and heartbeat alike.

Crowned By The Wild

Price range: £250.00 through £1,150.00

2025

In the still light of early day, he stood alone—bold, unmoved, and wrapped in the hush of wild breath. His antlers, velvet-cloaked and regal, rose like roots inverted toward the sky, ancient and sacred as the trees themselves.

Behind him, the dark hedge line hummed with the quiet rhythm of summer. The sun, low and kind, outlined every muscle, every thread of fur, with reverence. He did not pose, yet the earth seemed to pause around him.

He was not there to be tamed or named. He exists as he always has: silent, sovereign, and wild.

Sands Of Time

Price range: £250.00 through £1,150.00

2024

In my many years of working with the world’s wildlife, I have always been fascinated by the incredible colours, patterns and textures found in our natural world. Everywhere you look, there is something so incredibly beautiful.

When I was sat atop the coastal dunes of Norfolk in December, I was drawn to a couple of mothers whose faces were covered in sand, it’s a texture I’ve never photographed before. I dedicated a decent amount of time to these two cows – it’s difficult to get an angle on those dunes, and then you have to wait for the animal to give you an opportunity.

I think ‘Sands Of Time’ is the perfect title for this multi-generational portrait.
